Ingrid Woodhouse was inspired to create BunkHaus after recognising a lack of affordable accommodations within Saint John, New Brunswick. With a passion to create a premium experience that occupies the space between worn hostels and expensive hotels, she got to work researching what works and what doesn't. Once the perfect commercial space was found, renovations were started, private rooms appointed, custom sturdy bunk beds built, and a boutique hostel experience came to life in her very own hometown.

With traditional Saint John architecture of 12 ft high ceilings, exposed brick, and large windows, she turned an old warehouse space into a home by using local art, and comfortable Scandinavian-inspired furnishings. Guests will feel right at home here as they share meals, music, and memories together in the communal spaces designed to bring people together.
